No-Added-Sugar Mango Lassi (Low-Fat Yoghurt)

Dessert • South Africa

A refreshing mango lassi blended with low-fat plain yoghurt, milk and ripe mango for natural sweetness. A pinch of cardamom and a squeeze of lemon keep it bright and satisfying without added sugar.

Why smarter

Uses low-fat yoghurt for creaminess with less saturated fat, relies on ripe mango for sweetness, and adds a little milk and ice for a lighter, drinkable texture.

Chef tip

If your mango isn’t very ripe, freeze mango pieces first and blend longer—cold, ripe fruit boosts sweetness and thickness without needing sugar.

Soft line

A simple, sunny lassi that feels like a treat.
